The composition is anchored by a natural “keyhole” arch cut into rugged sea stacks, with the glow of the setting sun streaming through. Tide pools dotted with starfish shimmer in the fading light, their delicate shapes mirrored across the glassy water.
Only for a few seconds did the scene ignite in tones of deep pink, violet, and gold, as the sun dipped below the horizon and the sky caught fire. It was in that narrow window, when everything aligned — tide, color, reflection, and silence — that the shot was taken.
